Erica is passionate about helping people create wonderful places to connect with nature. She has a unique combination of experience in education, landscape design, and garden management.
For more than fifteen years, Erica has collaborated with schools, child care centers, and other organizations to develop their outdoor spaces for play and learning. As a teacher naturalist with Mass Audubon’s Boston Nature Center, she helped educators set learning goals, overcome barriers to using the outdoors, and engage volunteers in construction and maintenance. Erica is an expert in children’s play and a Certified Playground Safety Inspector.
Erica’s design training helps her reveal opportunities and develop delightful places that work for people and nature. She holds a master’s of landscape architecture from the Boston Architectural College, and worked as a playscape designer with a firm that specializes in children’s environments.
Building a landscape is only the beginning; Erica can help you make sure your landscape flourishes and evolves with your needs. Her experience in high-end horticultural maintenance has given her tools to create and manage outdoor spaces over time.
An education consultant can help you develop effective curriculum and programming. A landscape designer can transform your space into a beautiful, functional place. A garden expert can keep your plants thriving as they grow. Erica combines all of these skills and is ready to help you create an inspiring place to connect with nature.

If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.
